Photo Co. Collective Studio
This has been so much work! My studio mate, Meg, and I had the pleasure of moving all of the heavy things from our old studio, selling some things...figuring out what to do with everything! You have no idea how fun it is to go through years of things and having to actually face it! #timetodestash 😂
I had the pleasure of moving everything from the truck into the space and setting it up by myself. At night. In the dark. After working a 90 minute session with some awesome softball players! It only took me two hours to unload the truck and get things inside. NBD. It took me about 20 hours non-stop over the course of two days. Just nuts. 1-star. Would not recommend. I am in so much physical pain. Just no.
My awesome husband, Brent, and my Dad, Gary, did all of the hard man work of securing the backdrops, building the shelving units, securing everything to the studs... my Dad put up all of the samples... I would have never been able to get it done without them. All after hours because they work full-time. Thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ They both helped me over the course of numerous days.
Schedules didn't help us studio mates because of things being delayed, but Meg came in and built furniture and dropped off another load of things for the studio, with two little ones with her, right before going to the airport. Dude. She's the best.
My studio mate, Brett, came to help me for a few hours after working all day once we were able to get in on Thursday, which was so awesome. He definitely helped me calm down with just getting things organized and making a plan! Spending time away from the family when you've already worked all day... I so appreciate it!
Our new studio mate, Colin, came for a bit this morning to help me fold things up and get the rest of the things put up on the shelves.
Kelly, my G-Dawg, helped me for a few hours today putting things together, organizing, cleaning... on her day off. Come on now. I don't deserve you.
Juliet, my wonderful stepmother, helped me with the finishing touches, and more importantly, distracting my children while we finished everything up.
I had three sessions at the studio on Saturday. They were AMAZING. I LOVE this space. It is absolutely perfect.
